Baby S {Winter Park Lifestyle Newborn Photographer}

Over the summer I got a chance to meet this sweet family for thier in home lifestyle newborn session. This little newbie is so loved by her family, and she’s got two of the sweetest big brothers to watch out for her for years to come. Enjoy:)

It’s That Time……ALREADY!!! {Central Floriday Family Photographer}

I can’t believe I’m actually typing this out already.  It’s so cliche to say it, but time is literally FLYING by and I’m already in Holiday session planning.  We are trying out something different this year for our holiday and fall mini sessions.  Instead of specific dates and locations and the mad rush to grab the very limited spots that fill up in lighting speed, I’m offering an entire two months of mini session availability.  What does that mean for you?  More scheduling flexibility, more time for your individual family at their “mini” session and less stress alllll around!

As I say every year, I suggest booking as soon as possible as dates will begin to fill up soon.  I look forward to seeing everyone again this  year! 2015 Holiday Mini Flyer

A NICU Graduation {Orlando Lifestyle Photographer}

When my friend Rebecca reached out in need of another photographer to document a NICU graduation I jumped at the chance to be there. As a NICU mom myself, there’s just something we all share, a bond so to speak because we’ve all experienced the roller coaster of emotions when you spend any amount of time in the NICU.

Some of us spend more time than others. My boys were in for 4 short weeks. I remember thinking everyday that it felt like we would never get out. But could you imagine spending 4 MONTHS in there? This sweet boy did, and now he’s finally settled in at home with his mom and dad.

The time you spend in the NICU is like no other. Everyday things happen, things change on a drop of a dime and you are there with your baby while these amazing nurses and doctors tend to your tiny special miracle. Naturally you start to develop a bond with these people who are spending countless hours and days with you. They start to become like a family to you. So as you can imagine the day you finally get to go home is filled with an incredible range of emotions. Your beyond excited to finally be taking your baby or babies home. But your incredibly sad at the same time knowing that it’s time to say goodbye to the talented nurses and doctors you fell in love with during your stay.

I hope these photos give you an insight of what it’s like on that graduation day. Happiness, sadness, joy, hope. And most of all accomplishement for that tiny baby who came into this world at just 24 weeks and 4 months later he’s a rock star going home, thanks to the talented staff at The Alexander Center for Neonatology at Winnie Palmer Hosptial for Women and Babies.

    I think Laura McClellan may have already contacted you. We are interested in one of these sessions. We need family and the 2 year old individual shots. She turns 2 the end of June.

    I will be paying for it. Oh, I just saw this special includes 5 digital photos. Obviously, with family, 2 yr old pics and also the twins by themselves, and the 3 girls together, this special may be too limited.

    What can you do for us? Let me know.

A Baby Story {Winter Park Lifestyle Maternity Photographer}

My favorite thing about maternity and newborn sessions is being able to share the story of how a new little one comes into this world. Being able to document the changing family, whether it be a first baby or a new sibling is such a joy. For the H Family I was also able to come to the hospital the morning after this beautiful mama delivered their newest addition. I know we all had an idea of how we “wanted” the meeting of big brother and little brother to go, but children are real and their emotions can not be controlled. So when big brother arrived it didn’t go as planned but it was still raw and emotional. (I was totally wiping tears off of my camera btw!) He was so unsure, so afraid but in his mama’s arms he was ok. It also didn’t help that the poor guy had come down with an ear infection that morning so he wasn’t feeling 100% either.

So, as you can imagine I was curious how their in home lifestyle newborn session would go. It was great. Big brother was a champ! Totally in love with his little bro! I can’t tell you how neat it’s been to see the progression of this family going from three to four. Thank you to the H Family for letting me be a part of such an amazing time in your life!

Think you might want those first few hours at the hospital documented? Do it! Don’t worry about make up and how you will look because let’s be honest we all looked exhausted and beat down. Hello you just gave birth! It’s a moment that you will treasure and 20 years from now you won’t care what your hair looked like or if you had dark circles under your eyes. I am now offering the first 24 hours as an add on to your Belly to Baby Package. Contact me today for more information!
